Victron VE.Direct TX Digital Output Cable — PWM Light Dimming & Virtual Load Output

Two useful tricks from your MPPT's TX port. The VE.Direct TX digital output cable taps the TX output of a BlueSolar or SmartSolar MPPT charge controller for two jobs: PWM dimming of solar lighting, and adding a “virtual” load output to larger MPPTs that don't have one.

• Solar lighting with PWM dimming. Connects the MPPT's TX output to a LED driver's PWM dimmer input, so lighting can dim to save energy — lowering system cost and keeping lights available even when the battery is only partly charged in low sun.
• Virtual load output. Adds load-output capability to larger MPPTs (100/30 and up) that don't have one, by connecting the TX output to a BatteryProtect or solid-state relay to switch a load on and off.
• For BlueSolar & SmartSolar MPPTs. Uses the VE.Direct TX line.
• Inexpensive, flexible signal cable. A small part that unlocks lighting control and load switching.
