What makes the Evo different from the Spirit 1.0 Plus?
The Evo adds hydrogeneration — the propeller recharges the battery under sail — and supports Evo remote steering and external E-Series batteries. The Plus is the simpler, tiller-only version.
How much range does hydrogeneration add?
It varies with boat speed and sailing time, but on a steady passage it meaningfully offsets what the motor used getting out of the harbor. It's a sailor's feature.
Can I steer the Evo from the helm?
Yes — the Spirit 1.0 Evo Remote Kit converts it to remote steering with top- or side-mount controls, instead of the tiller.
Can I add a bigger battery?
Yes — an external E-Series 48V battery extends range well beyond the standard 1276 Wh pack, using the cables and chargers shown here.
