Flexible or rigid?
Flexible wins on curved surfaces, weight-sensitive spots, and installs where drilling is off the table — it conforms and sits nearly flush. Rigid panels remain the harvest-per-dollar champions where you have flat space and mounting freedom. Many boats happily run both.
50W or 95W?
The 50W panel keeps a battery topped and happy at the mooring; the 95W meaningfully contributes to daily loads like a fridge. Space usually decides — measure the curve you're covering and take the largest panel that fits without overhanging shade lines.
Mounting and airflow
Flexible panels run warmest when bonded dead-flat, and heat costs output — where you can, mount with a little airflow beneath and keep them clear of constant shadows from rails and booms. Adhesives, zippers on canvas, or grommet lacing all work; we'll suggest the right method for your surface.

How much can these panels bend?
Enough to follow the gentle curve of a deck or cabin top — that's their design brief. They're made to conform to a surface, not to be folded or creased; check the product page for the rated curve and your surface's radius before bonding anything.
Can I walk on the E-Flex?
They live happily on decks, but if regular foot traffic is part of the plan, look at Sol-Go's IRW walkable series — panels built specifically to be stepped on. Matching the panel to the traffic keeps the warranty conversation simple.
Do I still need a charge controller?
Yes — every panel needs a controller between it and the battery, and an MPPT unit harvests meaningfully more from the same panel, especially in partial sun. Our MPPT range starts small enough to match a single 50W panel.
How do I mount one without drilling?
Flexible panels open up options rigid can't: marine adhesives or VHB tape on hard surfaces, zippers or grommets on canvas, lacing on rails. Surface prep is most of the job. Tell us where it's going and we'll recommend the method owners have the best luck with.
