The SolarSense 750 tells you what your solar array should be producing — wirelessly, with no wiring at all. It's a fully self-powered irradiance and temperature sensor that clamps to a panel frame, measures the sun actually hitting your array, and reports expected solar output over Bluetooth to VictronConnect or a GX device. Compare expected against what your MPPT is really harvesting and you know immediately whether your panels are dirty, shaded, aging — or perfectly healthy.
Three jobs it does well
- PV health monitoring — see expected vs. actual output at a glance and catch soiling, shading, or a failing panel before it quietly costs you weeks of yield.
- Put surplus solar to work — in off-grid systems, real-time available-power data lets you (or your automation) divert excess PV into a water heater or other opportunity loads once the bank is full, instead of wasting it.
- Site and orientation planning — use it as a pilot device: measure real irradiance and yield potential at different locations, tilts, and seasons on your rig, boat, or property before committing to a future array's layout.
Completely wireless, completely self-powered
An integrated solar cell and a small rechargeable buffer battery (40 mAh / 3.6 V) power the sensor, and data flows over Bluetooth Instant Readout (BLE advertisements) — no cables to run, which makes roof and remote mounting painless. One note from Victron: metal panel frames and roofs can shorten Bluetooth range, so check reception at your intended spot before final mounting.
Works with VictronConnect and your GX device
In VictronConnect, set your array's peak power (STC) and temperature-derating once, then read live status — expected solar output, current irradiance, today's yield, and cell temperature — plus 31 days of trend graphs and 730 days of daily history. On a GX device, enable it under Settings → Integrations → Bluetooth Sensors and the SolarSense appears in the device list, with its readings on the Remote Console and the free VRM portal.
