Victron Energy Smart Battery Sense - Long Range (up to 10 m)

The Smart Battery Sense is a wireless battery voltage and temperature sensor that makes your Victron SmartSolar MPPT charger smarter — without running any extra wires. It mounts on the battery and sends live voltage and temperature readings to the charger over VE.Smart Networking (Bluetooth), so the charger can temperature-compensate its charge voltage and correct for voltage drop in the cables. The result is more accurate charging and longer battery life. This is the long-range version, good for up to 10 m between the sensor and charger.

What it does

• Voltage sense — reports the true voltage at the battery terminals, so the MPPT compensates for cable losses and charges to the correct level.
• Temperature sense — lets the charger raise or lower the charge voltage with battery temperature, protecting the bank in hot or cold conditions.
• Wireless — connects over VE.Smart Networking (Bluetooth); no signal wires to route back to the charger.

Compatibility

Works with Victron SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers (and other VE.Smart Networking-capable devices). Set it up in seconds with the VictronConnect app. A shorter-range version is also available for installations where the sensor and charger are close together.
