Victron Skylla‑TG Battery Chargers (24 V & 48 V)

Free shipping over $49

60-day hassle-free returns
The Skylla‑TG is Victron’s classic, no‑nonsense high‑current charger line—ideal for blue‑water cruisers, commercial vessels, and industrial DC systems. A microprocessor‑controlled IUoUo 3‑stage algorithm charges fast while protecting your batteries, and the metal IP21 chassis with forced‑air cooling is made to run hard in hot engine rooms. With adjustable set‑points, temperature compensation, and remote voltage‑sense at the terminals, Skylla‑TG delivers the accuracy your battery manufacturer expects.
Why boat owners choose Skylla‑TG
-
Serious output for large banks: 24 V models in 30/50/80/100 A; 48 V models in 25/50 A.
-
House + starter coverage (24 V): Most 24 V models provide a full‑rated house output plus a 4 A isolated auxiliary to maintain a start battery. (48 V models are single‑output; 24/100 3‑phase is single‑output.)
-
Precision battery care: Fully adjustable absorption/float voltages, temperature‑compensation (sensor included), and remote voltage‑sense for true at‑battery regulation.
-
Power‑supply capable: Stabilized DC output lets Skylla‑TG work as a bench/ship’s supply when the battery is offline.
-
Flexible input options: Select single‑phase 120/230 VAC and 230 VAC, or 3×400 VAC models; most single‑phase variants also accept high‑voltage DC input for AC‑DC or DC‑DC operation.
-
Marine‑ready build: IP21 aluminum enclosure, forced cooling, and wide operating range (−40 to 122 °F) keep you online in harsh conditions.
-
Alarm & control: Potential‑free alarm contacts and remote on/off via an optional switch/panel.
Skylla‑TG GMDSS (24 V) — purpose‑built for distress & safety systems
Designed to simplify compliance, the GMDSS versions provide all required monitoring and alarms without extra boxes. Both the battery and the DC load connect directly to the charger; status and alarms show on a digital GMDSS panel (ordered separately) over a simple UTP cable. A built‑in controller even estimates “time‑to‑go” during a mains outage—exactly what a watch‑stander needs.

Technical snapshot
-
Charge algorithm: IUoUo (3‑stage) with adjustable set‑points; can be used as a stabilized DC power supply.
-
Two outputs (most 24 V models): full‑rated house output + 4 A isolated starter‑battery maintainer; 48 V and 24/100 3‑phase are single‑output.
-
Input flexibility: single‑phase 120/230 VAC, 230 VAC, or 3×400 VAC depending on model; most single‑phase units accept high‑voltage DC input (~120–400 VDC).
-
Operating temp: −40 to 122 °F; IP21 enclosure; forced‑air cooling; potential‑free alarm contacts.
-
GMDSS versions: built‑in monitoring/alarms with time‑to‑go readout via the dedicated remote panel.

-
GMDSS 24/30–24/50 A: ≈ 19.1 × 9.9 × 5.8 in, 13 lb
Installation notes
Mount vertically in a ventilated space to support forced‑air cooling. Use appropriately sized cabling and fusing; land voltage‑sense leads directly at the battery terminals and install the temperature sensor on a representative battery. For lithium banks, set charge voltages to your battery maker’s spec and wire the remote on/off through the BMS dry‑contact or a control relay.
