Victron Energy Orion-Tr 24V to 12V Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter (60-240W)

The Orion-Tr 24/12 non-isolated DC-DC converter is a compact, highly efficient way to run 12 V electronics and accessories from a 24 V battery system. It takes the 24 V supply and delivers a tightly regulated 12 V output, so navigation gear, lighting, pumps, and other 12 V loads get steady voltage even as the source battery rises and falls with charging. It's a popular, no-fuss building block on boats, RVs, and commercial vehicles that run a 24 V house system but still have 12 V equipment.

Very high efficiency, very little heat

Thanks to synchronous rectification, full-load efficiency reaches up to 97% (95% on the smallest model). That means minimal wasted energy and very little heat — well suited to continuous operation in the confined spaces typical of marine and mobile installs.

Non-isolated: compact and simple for shared-ground systems

This converter shares a common negative between input and output, which keeps it small, light, and efficient — ideal when your 24 V and 12 V circuits already use the same ground reference. (If you need the input and output grounds electrically separated, choose an isolated Orion-Tr converter instead.)

Simple installation

Connections are screw terminals (no special tools), and each unit is protected against short circuit and over-temperature. Rated IP43 when installed with the terminals facing downward; operating range −20 to +55 °C.

All four models step 24 V (input 18–35 V) down to a regulated 12 V. Pick by continuous output current: 5 A (60 W), 10 A (120 W), 15 A (180 W), or 20 A (240 W).
