The communications cable that ties a Victron system together. The RJ45 UTP Cable carries VE.Bus and VE.Can traffic between MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers, GX devices, the MK3-USB configuration interface, Digital Multi Control panels, and any other component on Victron's networked bus. It's the cable you use to parallel two MultiPlus-IIs for 120/240V split-phase, daisy-chain inverters into a three-phase system, or wire a Cerbo GX into the system so the VRM Portal sees everything.
- Works for VE.Bus and VE.Can. Same cable, both networks. Standard 8P8C straight-through UTP with all eight conductors used.
- Compatible across the VE.Bus and VE.Can ecosystem — MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, Quattro, Cerbo GX, Ekrano GX, CCGX, MK3-USB, Digital Multi Control, and Smart BMS.
- Nine lengths, from 0.3m (in-panel jumpers) to 30m (longer engine-room-to-helm or outbuilding-to-outbuilding runs). Per-length picking guidance shows below when you select a variant.
- VE.Can installs need terminators at each end of the bus — the VE.Can RJ45 terminator (bag of 2) ships separately.

A typical Victron install needs at least two cables: one connecting the inverter/charger to a GX device, and one connecting the GX device to a configuration tool (MK3-USB or remote panel). Parallel and split-phase systems add one cable per additional inverter on the VE.Bus chain. We know returns are no fun so we aim to make the return process as hassle free as possible! We have a 60-day return policy, which means you have 60 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Lithium batteries and products with lithium batteries inside are non returnable: Due to carrier regulations surrounding the shipment of lithium batteries (classified as a fully regulated hazardous material), we are unable to accept returns unless arranged locally.
