The Victron Orion-Tr Isolated DC-DC Converter is a professional-grade solution for converting DC power between battery systems of different voltages in marine, vehicle, RV, and off-grid applications. It delivers stable, regulated DC output while maintaining full electrical isolation between the input and output circuits — an essential feature in many modern electrical systems.

Unlike non-isolated converters, the Orion-Tr Isolated electrically separates the input and output grounds. This galvanic isolation helps prevent ground loops, reduces electrical noise, and improves overall system safety. It is especially valuable when charging a house battery from a starter battery, interfacing with sensitive electronics, or working with systems that do not share a common negative ground.

The Orion-Tr Isolated series is available in multiple voltage combinations, including 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V configurations, making it easy to integrate into mixed-voltage systems. Output voltage remains tightly regulated even when the input voltage fluctuates due to engine charging or changing loads.

The converter is housed in a durable, high-quality plastic enclosure designed for mobile and marine environments. Screw-terminal connections allow for straightforward installation, and the unit is fully protected against short circuits and overheating. Multiple Orion-Tr units can be connected in parallel to increase output current capacity as system demands grow.

A remote on/off connection enables control via ignition signals, battery management systems, or external switches, minimizing standby power consumption and supporting clean system automation. When installed with terminals facing downward, the unit achieves an IP43 protection rating, suitable for demanding onboard conditions.
