How to Measure Your Transom & Confirm Fit

Like any clamp-on outboard, the TEMO 1000 needs to sit at the right depth on your boat's transom. To find your transom height, measure straight down from the top of the transom (where the motor clamps) to the bottom of the hull at the centerline.

The TEMO 1000 uses a 24 in (61 cm) adjustable shaft, so it adapts to the range of transom heights common on tenders, dinghies, and small sailboats. Set the shaft height so the propeller sits comfortably below the waterline. If your transom is unusually tall (well over about 20 in / 51 cm), contact us to confirm fit before ordering.
