Victron Argo Diode Battery Combiners (BCD) keep mission-critical DC equipment powered by feeding it from two batteries in parallel through isolating diodes — so the failure of one source never interrupts the load. Common on engines with electronic control systems that must never lose power.
Schottky diodes keep the voltage drop low — roughly 0.3V at low current and about 0.45V at rated output.
- Combines two power sources to one critical load via diode isolation
- BCD 402 (40A) and BCD 802 (80A); 12V and 24V systems
- M6 bolt connections
- A source failure won't drop the protected load
Installation note: the combiner can get hot in normal operation — mount it on a non-flammable surface only.
