ePropulsion X12 — 12 kW, 96V Electric Outboard

The X12 is the entry point to ePropulsion's next-generation X-Series — a fully integrated 96-volt electric outboard that brings serious, clean power to RIBs, tenders, and small craft. It folds electric steering, power trim & tilt, and hydrogeneration into one tidy, plug-and-play unit, with a unified smart throttle and display for an effortless helm.

Why the X-Series

One connected system — eSSA

The X12 runs on ePropulsion's eSSA architecture. To complete a system, pair it with a 96V G-Series battery (G102-100 or G102-230), a G-Series charger or the 2 kW MPPT solar charge controller, and your choice of Smart control — Tiller, Throttle, Side-Mount, or a 5″ / 10″ Display. Everything connects with keyed eSSA cables. Our advisors will size the battery, charging, and controls with you.

You also need a 12V battery. Beyond the 96V propulsion pack, the X-Series uses a separate 12V supply to run its controls, display, trim/tilt, steering, and electronics. An included 96V→12V DC-DC converter (500W) keeps that 12V battery charged from the propulsion pack. The 12V battery is not included and should provide at least 120 Ah capacity and 120 A continuous output — we'll spec it with the rest of your system.

Choosing your shaft

Mounting height matters: a Short shaft suits transoms up to about 17 in (440 mm), and a Long shaft suits roughly 17–22 in (440–550 mm). The right height avoids cavitation (too high) and extra drag (too low) — when in doubt, we'll confirm it with you.

To complete the system you'll add a 96V G-Series battery, a 12V battery (≥120 Ah/120 A), a charger, and your chosen control/display.

Warranty

Covered by ePropulsion's 24-month limited warranty (from delivery to the first end customer) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal recreational use with proper installation and maintenance. Commercial or professional use is covered by your local statutory warranty instead. Blue Marine is an authorized ePropulsion dealer and will help with any claim.
