The ePropulsion Spirit 2 Remote is a 2 kW electric outboard built for remote steering and throttle control — the same quiet, fume-free Spirit 2 performance as the tiller model, set up for helm-based installations on small sailing boats, console craft, and tenders. Its hydrogeneration technology recharges the battery while you sail, and a full-colour display puts real-time speed, range, and battery data right in front of you.

Lightweight and compact with a cable-free battery connection, the Spirit 2 Remote pairs with the ePropulsion Spirit Battery Ultra or the 48 V E-Series external batteries (including the E60, E100, and E163). This listing is for the motor only — battery and controls are purchased separately.

Choosing Your Shaft Length

Shaft length comes down to your boat's transom height — too short and the propeller ventilates and loses thrust; too long adds drag. Measure straight down from the top of the transom (where the motor clamps) to the bottom of the hull, then match it below. When you're between sizes, sizing up is the safer choice.

Controls & Compatibility

The Spirit 2 Remote is built for remote steering and throttle control. A quick compatibility note worth knowing before you order controls: if you're using an Evo-series throttle (such as the Evo Remote Control or Evo Side Mount Control), it needs the Protocol Converter Evo RS485 to S-CAN to communicate with the Spirit 2. Compatible batteries include the Spirit Battery Ultra and the 48 V E-Series (E60, E100, E163). Controls, batteries, and the protocol converter are sold separately.

Warranty & Availability

The Spirit 2 Remote is covered by ePropulsion's 24-month limited warranty (from delivery to the first end customer) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal recreational use with proper installation and maintenance. Commercial or professional use is covered by your local statutory warranty instead.
