The ePropulsion Spirit 2.0 is a next-generation electric outboard delivering 2 kW of continuous power and up to 3 kW in sport (boost) mode. With an integrated 1,539 Wh battery, an ultra-portable design, and energy-recapturing hydrogeneration, it is built for tenders, dinghies, day cruisers, and sailors who want clean, quiet propulsion without giving up performance. It is a smart upgrade for anyone moving from a small gas outboard toward electric boating.
Key Features
- 2 kW continuous / 3 kW boost power — strong, instant thrust for tenders, fishing boats, RIBs, and auxiliary sailing.
- Integrated 1.5 kWh battery — clean, sealed, drop-in pack (~23 lbs) with quick-connect design for instant setup (sold separately).
- Hydrogeneration while sailing — recharges automatically when under sail at roughly 3–16 knots.
- Portable & lightweight — powerhead + battery weigh about 45.4 lbs (Extra-Short version).
- Foldable, adjustable tiller — four steering positions plus shallow-water mode, with Bluetooth app connectivity.
- Onboard USB-C power port — use the motor battery as a powerbank for electronics on the water.
- Upgradeable range — compatible with ePropulsion external 48 V batteries (E60 / E100 / E163).
- Multiple shaft lengths — Extra-Short, Short, and Long to fit a wide range of boats.
How to Measure Your Transom Height & Choose Your Shaft Length
Picking the right shaft length is the single most important fitment decision on any outboard. It comes down to your boat's transom height — if the shaft is too short the propeller ventilates (sucks air) and loses thrust; too long and it adds unnecessary drag.
Measure your transom height. With the boat level, measure straight down from the top of the transom (where the motor clamps) to the bottom of the hull at the centerline.
Match it to the shaft length. For the Spirit 2.0: an Extra-Short (XS) shaft suits transoms of about 11.8–15.7 in (300–400 mm); a Short (S) shaft suits transoms of about 15.7–19.7 in (400–500 mm); a Long (L) shaft suits transoms around 19.7 in (500 mm) and above.
When you're between sizes, size up. A slightly long shaft runs fine; a too-short shaft will cavitate.
| Shaft option | Fits transom |
|---|---|
| Extra-Short (XS) | ~11.8–15.7 in (300–400 mm) |
| Short (S) | ~15.7–19.7 in (400–500 mm) |
| Long (L) | ~19.7 in (500 mm) and above |
