The ePropulsion Pod Drive Evo Series is a quiet, space-saving, energy-efficient propulsion solution for sailboats and small craft. Unlike a transom-mounted outboard, the Pod Drive installs beneath the hull — a fixed, through-hull pod that keeps the powerhead out of the cockpit, reduces onboard noise and vibration, and frees up transom and interior space. With direct-drive technology and no transmission gears, these motors deliver ultra-reliable performance with virtually zero maintenance, making them ideal for clean-energy retrofits or modern new builds.

Available in three models — Pod Drive 1.0, 3.0, and 6.0 Evo — the series covers the 3 to 9.9 HP-equivalent range. All models feature hydrogeneration, regenerating power while the boat is under sail.

Warranty

The Pod Drive Evo is covered by ePropulsion's 24-month limited warranty (from delivery to the first end customer) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal recreational use with proper installation and maintenance — free repair or replacement of defective parts. Commercial or professional use is not covered by the limited warranty (your local statutory warranty applies instead), and claims should be made within 6 months of discovering an issue.
