A big lithium battery is lighter than the lead-acid bank it replaces, but it still weighs 60–85 lb and it should never sit loose in a bay. Hard braking, washboard roads, and chop all work on an unsecured battery, and a battery that shifts pulls on its cables and terminals. Epoch's exact-fit trays give the Essential Series batteries a proper home: a formed tray that screws to the floor or shelf, soft padding, and a strap over the top. No plywood box, no improvised blocks, and the battery comes out again for service in a minute.

Two sizes, matched to the battery footprint:

  • TRAY-12300A-H — fits the Group 31 footprint shared by the 12V 300Ah (12300A-H), 12V 334Ah (12334A-H), and 12V 314Ah Eco (12314-ECO). Those batteries measure about 13.75 × 7.63 × 10 in at the base; allow 15.5 in over the handles.
  • TRAY-12460A-H — fits the Group 8D footprint shared by the 12V 460Ah (12460A-H) and 24V 230Ah (24230A-H), about 20.55 × 9.45 × 8.6 in.

What's in the box

  • Formed battery tray with slotted mounting points
  • Mounting screws, soft padding, and a hold-down strap

A few install notes

  • These are exact-fit trays for the Epoch models listed. They are not universal trays, so don't count on them fitting another brand's 300Ah or 460Ah battery without checking dimensions first.
  • Mount flat and upright on a solid floor, shelf, or deck. Pick fasteners for your surface and environment — corrosion-resistant hardware and a backing plate or washers are a common approach in marine compartments.
  • The 12V 334Ah MC (metal case, 12334A-MC) is a different footprint and does not use these trays.
