The Orion-Tr isolated DC-DC converter delivers a stable, tightly regulated DC voltage from a different (or fluctuating) DC source — with full electrical isolation between input and output. Use it to run 12 V electronics off a 24 V or 48 V bank, to feed a regulated supply to navigation, comms, or instrument loads, or anywhere you need clean, constant voltage that doesn't sag when the source battery does.
Important: this is a voltage converter, not a battery charger. It has no multi-stage charge algorithm and is not intended to charge a battery. If you want to charge a service/house battery from your alternator or a starter battery, choose the Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC charger instead.
Why “isolated” matters
This series provides full galvanic isolation (200 VDC between input, output, and case), electrically separating the input and output grounds. That prevents ground loops, reduces electrical noise, and improves safety — the right choice for mixed-grounding marine and mobile systems, for feeding sensitive electronics, or any installation where the source and load must not share a common negative. (If your system shares a common ground and you don't need isolation, the non-isolated Orion-Tr is a lighter, lower-cost option.)
Tightly regulated, adjustable output
Output voltage is adjustable (e.g. 10–15 V on 12 V models, 18–30 V on 24 V, 40–60 V on 48 V) and stays stable across the full input range thanks to the converter's buck-boost behavior — so the output holds steady even as the input rises and falls with engine charging or load changes. Output ripple is just 2 mV rms.
Rugged, simple installation
The converter is housed in a durable plastic enclosure for mobile and marine use, with screw-terminal connections (no special tools) and a remote on/off input so an ignition signal, BMS, or low-power switch can control it without a high-current switch in the input wiring. Every model is short-circuit proof and high-temperature protected (output reduces gracefully at high ambient), and an unlimited number of units can be paralleled for more output current. Rated IP43 when installed with the screw terminals facing downward. Operating range −20 to +55 °C.
Choosing your model
Pick by input → output nominal voltage (12, 24, or 48 V) and continuous output current. The range spans three sizes — 110–120 W (compact, 0.42 kg), 220–280 W, and 360–400 W — from 2.5 A up to 30 A of output. Input ranges are 8–17 V (12 V input), 16–35 V (24 V input), and 32–70 V (48 V input). Exact input range, output voltage, current, and power for each model are on the variant below.

Shipping & Returns
We offer free shipping over $49. Lithium batteries & oversize items may have an applicable shipping charge.
We know returns are no fun so we aim to make the return process as hassle free as possible! We have a 60-day return policy, which means you have 60 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Lithium batteries and products with lithium batteries inside are non returnable: Due to carrier regulations surrounding the shipment of lithium batteries (classified as a fully regulated hazardous material), we are unable to accept returns unless arranged locally. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to contact us with any questions prior to purchase.
