The full large-controller range — same charging as the SmartSolar, without built-in Bluetooth. The Victron BlueSolar MPPT 150/35 through 250/100 covers everything from a 35 A mid-range controller to the 100 A flagships, with 150 V or 250 V of PV input and full 12 / 24 / 36 / 48 V battery support. The charging hardware is identical to the SmartSolar range; Bluetooth simply isn't built in. Add a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle for wireless setup, or configure over VE.Direct with a GX device. Who the BlueSolar MPPT 150/35–250/100 is built for

• Larger off-grid homes and cabins — 48 V banks and multi-kW arrays, where 35–100 A of charge is needed.
• Bluewater and liveaboard yachts — big arch and bimini arrays that have outgrown the 100-series.
• Expedition vehicles and large RVs — rooftop arrays feeding a 24 V or 48 V house bank.
• Installers and GX-monitored systems — the VE.Can models daisy-chain into one synchronised system; if you run a GX device you monitor over VE.Direct anyway.

How to read the model number

• First number = max PV input voltage. 150 V or 250 V — the higher ceiling lets you run more panels in series.
• Second number = max charge current. 35, 45, 60, 70, or 100 A into the battery.

VE.Direct or VE.Can?

Every model here has a VE.Direct port. The 150/100, 250/70, and 250/100 add a VE.Can port, which lets you daisy-chain up to 25 controllers into one synchronised system — the right choice for large multi-controller arrays. The smaller VE.Direct-only models are ideal for single-controller systems. (A VE.Can bus needs a 120 Ω terminator at each end — see accessories.)

Tr or MC4 — which PV connection?

The 150/60 and 150/70 are offered in two versions: Tr (35 mm² / AWG 2 screw terminals — you bring your own PV wiring) or MC4 (two pairs of MC4 connectors built in). The other models use screw terminals.

12 / 24 / 48 V is auto-detected; 36 V is selected manually with the software tool. The 150-series runs at up to 98% efficiency, the 250-series up to 99%.

Q: BlueSolar or SmartSolar?
Identical charging hardware. SmartSolar has Bluetooth built in; BlueSolar takes a VE.Direct Bluetooth dongle (or configures over VE.Direct with a GX device).

Q: Which models have VE.Can?
The 150/100, 250/70, and 250/100. Choose those for multi-controller synchronisation (up to 25 units). The smaller models are VE.Direct only.

Q: 150 or 250 — which max PV voltage?
Add up the cold-temperature open-circuit voltage of your series string. Stay below 145 V for the 150-series or below 245 V for the 250-series.

Q: Tr or MC4?
Only the 150/60 and 150/70 offer a choice: Tr (screw terminals) for a combined home-run, or MC4 to plug panel strings straight in (two pairs, max 30 A per connector).

Q: Can I use lithium?
Yes — select the lithium profile in setup (or follow the maker's voltages for third-party LFP).

Q: Does it have a load output?
No. These larger models have no load output — wire loads to the battery (through a BatteryProtect for low-voltage disconnect).

Q: What's the warranty?
