Will It Fit Your Kayak or Canoe?

The Travel Ultralight is not a transom-clamp outboard. Instead, it mounts to kayaks and canoes using the Torqeedo Ultralight mount, which attaches to the hull and lets the motor pivot and steer from the remote throttle. Torqeedo designs it to fit a wide range of kayaks and canoes; many popular fishing and touring kayaks have purpose-made adapter plates available. When installed, the top of the propeller should sit at least about 2 in (5 cm) below the bottom of the hull so the prop stays fully submerged. Because it is built for very light craft, it is not intended for heavy displacement or planing hulls — use it where load and drag stay moderate.
