Victron CAN-bus Temperature Sensor for Buck-Boost DC-DC Converter
Free shipping over $49
60-day hassle-free returns
The temperature sensor that makes a Buck-Boost safe for lithium. This CAN-bus battery temperature sensor is the essential accessory for the Buck-Boost DC-DC converter range whenever it charges an LFP (lithium) battery. Lithium can't be charged hard in the cold, and this sensor is how the converter knows to back off.
- What it does. Reports battery temperature to the Buck-Boost DC-DC converter over CAN-bus.
- Protects cold lithium. The converter reduces charge current below 5°C and stops charging below 0°C — preventing the cold-charging damage that ruins LFP cells.
- Required for lithium installs. An essential accessory when a Buck-Boost charges an LFP battery, not an optional extra.
- Doubles as a Multi/Quattro temp sensor. Can also connect to the temperature-sensor terminal on a MultiPlus or Quattro, so the inverter/charger reduces or stops charging when the battery is too cold.
- Genuine Victron Energy sensor — full 5-year Victron warranty.
Pairs with the Buck-Boost DC-DC converter and LFP lithium batteries. Book a system consultation if you're building a DC-DC lithium charging system.
