Victron Energy MultiPlus-II 2 x 120V (120/240 Split Phase)

Thank you bluemarine for shipping this unit so quickly. I'm replacing my existing inverter with the much more comprehensive Victron Energy MultiPlus-II 2 x 120V (120/240 Split Phase).

I purchased the Victron Energy Multiplus-II from Blue Marine mainly because of the pre-sales consultation. I schedule a consultation call and had all my questions answered in detail before making the purchase. I have set my system up on the bench to complete configuration and testing and so far everything has been seamless and working as expected. I'm confident if I run into any issues or questions as I complete the system installation I will get the technical support I need from Blue Marine.

The Victron multi-plus-II 2x120 is an awesome solution for someone looking to upgrade their battery/inverter system. Super simple to install and it runs my entire 5th wheel on battery power!

I believe Victron is an industry leader, for producing really good stuff. But between Victron, and the resellers they work with, there's a heck of a lot of room for better marketing.
Victron makes a point, as if it were a virtue, of NOT aiming to sell to end users. So, in their view, I need to hire an 'experienced installer' not only to connect all my prerty blue boxes, but somehow even to place my order?
I posted a request on the "VICTRON COMMUNITY" web site, describing the 50 amp Inverter/Charger I was replacing in my RV, and asking to be pointed to a "table of features and capabilities" for Victron products. NADA response. Of course, Victron Community is not Victron Corporate -- they don't want to talk to users! And I guess the Community tacitly agreed, there ain't no such reference. Nobdy responded.
So I searched on various RV forums, to identify the Inverter/Charger I needed. Multiple commenters cited the "MultiPlus II, 50 amp, 120v". But it turns out that does not support typical 50 amp RV functions. You need the "2x120" version. Yes, my bad for failing to dig through all the specs for every potential product. But then I shopped on multiple web sites, none of which clarified that difference, and was encouraged by that claim of "Hassle free returns". Except when I drove the "wrong" one back to Seattle from Portland, OR, to exchange for the "2x120" version, BlueMarine discounted my refund credit by 20%. I even left them all the packaging, all the enclosed literature, etc. from the " -- because, it turns out Victron packages all the paperwork and quick-install guide for the "2x120" unit inside the box for the single phase unit I bought originally. (Even though those instructions end up describing connections you cannot make on a single phase box.) So the returned unit was absolutely pristine.
BEWARE!! A 20% ding is not trivial on an $850 purchase.
